Prototype
Our team’s prototype is a heist set in a museum in France. Users must solve puzzles to steal a diamond locked within a safe. The puzzles for our game were distributed into three different rooms:
Tutorial Room

Main Room

Vault Room

Users will receive a VR headset and upon wearing it they will be in the tutorial room.
The tutorial room is designed to look like the lobby of a museum, where users will learn how to interact with objects using the controllers.
We implemented simple tasks to introduce the interactions to the player, such as turning on the lights, as well as unlocking a lock with a key.
We used floating text boxes for instructions. They are placed near the task, in a big and sans serif font for users to see and read easily.
Once users complete the tutorial room, they will be transported to the main room.
In this room users will complete the bulk of sequenced puzzles, some of which require collaboration.
These puzzles were designed such that there were multiple starting points, which combined, led them to the end goal.
All the assets in the main room reflect an art museum.
Low lighting to show after hours
Simple background color for paintings and clues to pop out
After they complete all the puzzles, users will transport into the vault room.
Once there, they will complete the final puzzle and steal the diamond from the safe.
That is when the game will end.
